Where I'm At app for iPhone and iPad
Where Im At is the handy app that allows you to let your friends know where you are with just a few taps on your iPhone.
Launch Where Im At and it starts querying the GPS built in to your iPhone. It displays a map of your current location and automatically determines the closest street address. You may then send this information via email or SMS. You can also load the data into the iPhones copy buffer and paste it into any iPhone app such as Facebook or MySpace Mobile.
The message sent can include a link to a Google map pin-pointing your exact location which then can be used to generate directions to you. Or if you prefer, the street address can be sent.
And best of all, its free!

The address was off a few numbers(correct street), but on the map it pinned me in the correct location! When I moved the flashing dot moved....
Ive used this app for a while now. It gives a cleaner message, location and link then google maps. First time it may take a little while but once it knows where you are it will be quicker and more accurate.
I love that morons blame GPS inaccuracy on the app. Too bad for developers though.
Ive looked at a good number like this and this one offers very clean and tidy UI. And its free. It locates you and then you can email directly or put the location in the clipboard for SMS or other. The latest iOS allows in-app access to SMS so maybe this will get an update. If not, no big deal, still works well.
It works if u r using GPS... Right on the spot. If u r on wi fi: its somewhat accurate, but GPS is a lot better

Its so off. Its not even funny. Im on river st and it says Im on charles st
I like the app but if I am not on a wifi connection I never get a map. It shows me a blue dot for location but the map does not show up to show me the street or address. So it becomes kind of useless.
I ride motorcycles on weekends. I wanted this app to send my friends the locations I visit and I can show my wife without a phone call where I am (via e-mail) and what time
I was there. Problem - located my position perfectly ........but my friends all called and asked me what was that you sent me?????? It did not connect any of them to a google map of my location. Tried it 7 times this past weekend. Could be GREAT but needs work.
My location wasnt even close. What good is this,if it doesnt work. Plus you cant correct the wrong address.
Great idea, 90% there...but the address it gives is off by almost a mile! Who says Im on a street anyway?
The location is incorrect, is off by about 1/2 a mile but if ur in trouble n need to help, they couldnt find u. No good
